Challenge
Big Bang Academy endeavored to secure essential community support and funding through a strategically crafted Kickstarter campaign that centered on engaging parents and children as its primary audience. The aim was to leverage the platform's community-driven nature to rally support for their innovative educational endeavor, Big Bang Lab.
This campaign served as a pivotal means to not only secure financial backing but also to cultivate interest and garner backing from those invested in fostering interactive and engaging educational experiences for children.
Solution
The Kickstarter initiative was meticulously tailored to resonate with parents, employing a child-centric design strategy enriched with a gentle pastel color palette. This approach harmonized seamlessly with the endearing "chippers," the key characters within the Big Bang Lab application.
Extending this playful concept across the campaign, it reflected in a diverse array of elements, including enticing rewards, informative infographics, and vibrant GIFs vividly illustrating the app's functionality and appeal to children.
Implementation & Results
The Kickstarter campaign exceeded expectations, gaining 262 backers and raising HKD 218,718 within 7 hours, well beyond the initial HKD 120,000 target.
This success propelled Big Bang Academy to a leading position in the ed-tech sector, allowing for team expansion and increased production capacity.
